A piece that has been brewing in my mind for a while. I have struggled to find a pose for it though, particularly the arms. I am very pleased with the result, though. Quite possibly my best so far.
Originally it was a male angel with a golden spear, in my mind, but i think this is a lot better.
EDIT fits quite nicely as a desktop, too, although the proportions aren't quite right, so i didn't upload it as such.
very cool! I would have made the arms a little bit more slender, but it loks great how it is! I especially love the wings!

and i don't think her arms are beefy. i think they're REALISTIC. what everyone's saying is that they don't look like anime-twig-people arms. i don't think you should do anything to it, really. besides, they match her wing muscles. it's a good theme.
the background is also fantastic. the gradients were getting a little repetitive...they made the pieces look more flat. this background gives it more depth.
thanks soup. I really like this, likei said. I was aiming for a little more willowy, but i don't like the stick-figure thing either, too much. It fits in some cases, but i prefer a more realistic look for this one. And i agree all my blended b/gs are repetetive, but better than blank white, don't you think?
I suck at proper backgrounds, though. This one was easy. Just a different sort of blend for the sky, and airbrushed clouds...
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
